A Travel Around The World is an independent around the world travel blog. A platform to share travel experiences, backpacking tips, handy-mini travel guides by real-travelers on the places we visited plus travel photos and video from all around the world, perhaps to inspire and get inspired to explore this world whatever is a gap year, a life locationless or a short trip abroad now and then or simple to be curious about our own backyard.
How it all got started…
We started this blogging adventure in November ‘08 just before rushing off (with very little planning) for a year-long RTW trip backpacking through SE Asia, Australia, New Zealand and a bit of the States, well at least a fraction of this world.
It all started accidently, for the sake of the modern traveler to stay connect, for the desire to virtually drag our families and friends into this amazing travel experience, sharing emotions and feel like be part of a traveler community sharing the same passion and maybe get some hints too as we went along.
We are far from being professional writers, not even close to be travel journalists, neither photographers or travel geeks. Our only blame is to have itchy feet combine with an amateur passion for the web.
We are now back to Italy, our home-country. Our bank accounts might bleed dry but we can’t say the same for our wanderlust. Hence we are turning into you, fellow traveler, to keep our passion alive through ATravelAroundtheWorld to keep us dreaming about faraway or even close-by destinations and why not .. let’s make us jealous too hearing all about your great travel adventures! We will still blog about our future travels, who knows when and where, but in the meantime we promise you we’ll keep you post it about our occasionally trips exploring our fabulous Bel Paese (Italy of course), sharing more travel tips from budget traveler to adventurer one and travel news.
Who is behind ATravelAroundtheWorld.com?
We like to travel independently with barely a travel guide, we love the freedom of a road trip with no much plans set. Before the big loop we have travelled extensively through Europe. We enjoy visiting the touristy places, just to get a sense of what it’s like, but mainly exploring the more remote one, getting closer to nature and meeting the locals. We like to flavor the local cuisines. We are not that sporty but our favorite days are outdoors biking, trekking, even fishing, snorkeling or simply walking around.
However, as much as we love sharing we are eager to hear from you, your travel stories, your comments and your suggestions and if you are traveling through Italy and the Veneto make sure you stop by. Don’t be shy, drop us a mail.
