Well...where to start ..ummm…a fairly “normal” young couple, one the opposite of the other (something I will say like Mr and Ms Smith), stuck in the London routine since over 5 years and fascinated about the opportunities this world has to offer: being amazed by it.
“WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING HERE??? SO ..UCK IT!”
Watching all those documentaries on telly, had spoken with people from all around the world, had listened to all the amazing places they come from, make us believe there is much more out there to be seen and the life is so short that is better to slog away now that we are young and have two good legs to take us on this long adventure.
What the point of working all life for paying taxes, mortgages (unless obv you win the lottery and so far we fail on this) and then when you are on your 60ies you are too tired to do anything else? Not saying that there is an age for travelling as we would love to do this for all the rest of our life ( if you found out how pls let us know!) but, for what we have in mind, it is now or never. Furthermore, have a look at how London will turn up Chris in a few years of stressful work, would that be worth it? Sorry Gordon
Marta’s dad will probably thinks we are crazy and we are screwing up our jobs ..by now he is probably friking out already.....he works so hard all his life without taking any holiday at all ever! Well he took one day off to come and see us in London!
Feeling a bit guilty of “wasting” our time and money on travelling??
Yes, but we still feel this is the best investment of our life and hopefully others will not consider us as two yobs which probably by now they should have settle down, or should we?
At the moment this is a dream since we have no clue when and where. If you will ask me (Marta) where I would like to go I will probably start with a list of 20 cities ending up adding more and more and finishing by saying I want to go in every continent from top to toe! So is up to Christian to keep me with the feet on the ground, which ground though?
The aim of this blog is to function as a virtual notebook, where we can write down all info need it on our trip, keep inform our friends and families of what we are doing and make them a bit envy by sending them a virtual postcard from every visited places; we would like to create also a resource of information gained through our own experience and tips for other travellers that could be helpful for others as well.
Advice us the best place to go, an adventure not to be missed, restaurants and much more as we don’t know the hell we are going or doing, yet !
